Thirty five years ago I discovered the Dynamic Duo Of Weight Training and Vitamins. Linus Pauling, the two-time Nobel Prize winner, put me wise to the inordinate value of vitamins taken in large quanitities.
My present daily regimen includes:
I have coupled this vitamin regimen with three(3) days a week of "Moderate" weight training.
- 3 to 5 grams of vitamin C
- 800 IU's of vitamin E
- 25,000 IU's of vitamin A
- One vitamin B complex tablet
- One multiple vitamin for the minerals
- Other vitamins are taken intermittently
- 6 to 8 glasses of water all also consumed everyday
Now, at age 76, I'm pleased to say that my health has been unusually good, over these many decades. One example that comes to mind is that I have yet to spend a night in a hospital or be required to have surgery. Family physicians, Specialists and Dentist have expressed surprise at my staying ability.
When socializing, It's not uncommon for my wife and I to spend most of our time on the dance floor!!
Genetics and good luck have obviously played a role in my good fortune, but it runs much deeper than that. I'm convinced that Weight training and a daily regimen of Vitamins has contributed substantially to retarding the aging process.
